My mom is a storyteller. In fact she comes from a long line of storytellers, and I like to think she has passed some of that ability on, but she is by far the best storyteller I know. From as far back as I can remember, she was always teaching us about her childhood, our relatives like the crazy aunt that washed windows naked and how my very proper grandmother as a teenage once took a car for a joy ride without permission (aka stole it), the general happenings of a small town and so on. These memoirs helped shape my life.
It wasn’t until my great aunt Dorothy’s 90th birthday party that this long tradition of storytelling, changed my life. I listened and laughed for hours, while my great aunt recalled her fantastic world travels; visits to friends and family around the globe; and her amazing, profound and hilarious experiences. Listening to her recollections and pondering them since, has made me realize that travel is not an escape from life…it is an integral and important part of life. Travel matters. Regardless of how big or small the adventure, it all matters. In the end, all we have are the collections of people, pictures, memories, and experiences that make up the stories of our life.
I am Erin. My wonderful husband, Randy and I have been blessed with 4 children, 2 cats and a mortgage. Our story includes endless hours at the ice rinks, the swimming pools and the golf courses. Sprinkle in some church, some Scouts (Girl, Cub and Boy ‘Scouts’), some friends and a lot of family, and a story is written. I have a love for animals and a passion for travel.
As a kid I didn’t get to travel much; but I loved going to the lake, camping, exploring the woods nearby, collecting rocks and shells, and trying new foods and new experiences every chance I got. As an adult I still love to explore and experience anything and everything but now, on a global scale. It is exciting to talk about or even just read about travel, but the privilege of arranging travel as a profession is an incredible blessing.
Travel matters. Let me help you arrange the next great story of your life.
